Membership Meeting

This month our guest speaker is Marguerite Noel, who will demonstrate using acrylics.

Marguerite started her art career at an early age doing art posters and bulletins at school. From there she advanced to classes at Cederbrae Collegiate for oil painting. Later, she took up acrylics and studied for 8 years at Cedar Ridge Gallery learning to paint landscapes, wildlife and portraits. As a member of the Art Guild of Scarborough, she has exhibited in numerous art shows as well as solo exhibitions.

She has a gift of perfect colour and tone; her compositions have a beautifully organization of form in an abstract way, drawing the eye to the image. As a child inspired by nature, and with years of her own photography, she is now also able to recreate those memories projected from her past. Among her numerous awards and achievements is the Arthur Award from the Art Guild of Scarborough for her painting of Elliston, Newfoundland.
