It's time to get ready for Convergence 2025!

Convergence Oshawa 2025: Call for Artists, Painters & Volunteers!

Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of creativity at Convergence Oshawa 2025 — a free, all-ages community art festival happening in the heart of downtown Oshawa! On September 20, the streets will come alive with immersive art experiences, live painting, and two epic PAINT BATTLES, hosted by the Oshawa Art Association (OAA).

We’re calling all visual artists, painters, and community volunteers to be part of this dynamic cultural takeover. Whether you want to showcase your art, paint live in front of a crowd, or help bring the event to life, this is your chance to shine.

OAA Paint Battle:

This year, your OAA is excited to hold two paint battles at Convergence!

• The first Battle is open to our OAA members and will take place at 11:30 am.

• The second Battle is a Youth Battle! Thanks to funding from Oshawa Tourism, we are hosting a Youth Paint Battle with students from the Durham District School Board and the Durham Catholic District School Board participating. The Youth Battle takes place at 2 pm.

Volunteers:

Of course, we can't do any of this without volunteers. We are looking for:

• someone who will be able to supervise the OAA tent for the duration of the event. This includes set up and tear down. Please email Deb Oldfield directly at deboldfieldis@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering for this.

• volunteers to help with the Paint Battles and at the OAA tent.
