During the demo, Gary will share the process of creating a Scratchboard artwork from start to finish. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience Scratchboard for themselves, with materials and tools available to pass around and explore.
GARY FAULKNER - ARTIST BIO:
My classical training started with music then fifteen years ago I took up painting. I am a realist painter and most of my oil paintings have been trompe l'oeil (deceive the eye) style.
Lately I have been creating Scratch art pieces which allows the viewer to concentrate on the subject, composition, and simplicity without colour. I am a member of OAA, president of the Art Guild of Scarborough, Beach Guild of Fine Art and International Association of Scratchboard Artists.
