Convergence 2026 ~ PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS WANTED

PARTICIPANTS (Sept 19 & 20)

The programs run Saturday 12:00 - 7:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 - 7:00 pm, and we are asking for a minimum 3.5 hour volunteer commitment.
The CONVERGENCE Music and Art Festival is more than an event—it's a movement that transforms Oshawa into a hub of creativity, connection, and cultural discovery. With bold programming and vibrant energy, the festival celebrates the heart and soul of our community through music, art, and immersive experiences.

The Oshawa Art Association will be offering two member activities this year.  We are bringing back the popular Paint Battles (for OAA members), and are offering OAA members the opportunity to do live painting demonstrations (bring those business cards).  Both provide our members a great opportunity to get your art seen and to have some fun! 
Paint Battles for adults will take place on Saturday, Sept 19.  First round - 2 PM (Check-in at 1:30 pm)
Opportunities for live painting demonstrations available both Saturday and Sunday. Members will need to provide their own easels for demonstrations.

VOLUNTEERS

One of the most enjoyable volunteer opportunities is simply chatting with festival visitors who are interested in the arts and learning more about the OAA. We'll have information brochures available to hand out, and it's also a great chance to spread the word about our Fall Art Festival at Camp Samac this October.  We will also need help with the popular Paint Battles, and with enough support, we may offer painting activities for young and young at heart.

We're planning to host our popular Paint Battle for OAA members, along with children's painting activities at our tent. Members are also invited to promote their artwork by doing a live painting demonstration—don't forget to bring your business cards!
