For nearly three decades, David Wysotski has combined his two loves of art and nature into a successful career as a Natural Science Illustrator. Graduating from both Fine Art and Illustration programs, his style varies from painterly interpretations to accurate realism. Thirty of David’s fine art paintings were on display last winter in a solo show at Oshawa's Robert McLaughlin Gallery. David paints with both digital and traditional media.
Digital Painting with a Traditional Approach
David will walk you through his painting process of creating art using the digital medium. Treating it like a traditional medium, and employing an academic approach, he will begin with a sketch, and then further it along to a finished painting. For this demo, David will be using a $13.99 iPad app called Procreate. It's not only affordable, but incredibly powerful! Along with oil paint, digital paint is tied for David’s favourite choice of medium.
